Textiles
I have a very special connection to textiles. They appeal to our sense of touch, not just tactile but also visual. Our fingers and our eyes are engaged and intertwined. Sounds are important too: the rustling, the pleating, the sputtering start-up of the sewing machine. I love the smell of freshly laundered and ironed clothes. As a child, I used to "amuse" myself by emptying newly organized wardrobes to roll around in the clean laundry. My mother was much less amused! Even today, I can't live without this affection for fabrics, bits of thread, weaving, and other sewing elements. It's not a very widespread practice in France, yet it deserves to be more widely promoted. I find it very comforting, cozy, and enveloping. Like a physical invitation to a journey within oneself.

The Trees in their finest attire
Artistic touches in the orchard of the Maison de la Pomme et de la Poire (House of Apples and Pears) created as part of the season opening and event.
"A Day in the Orchard", 2010
Four specimens of 'high-stem' apple and pear trees
were chosen to wear 'custom-made' finery
between haute couture bark and whimsical totem.
An unexpected way to surprise the visitor
and to showcase the richness of our orchard.
Textile strips stapled to wooden forms strapped around the trunk
Let our friends who defend nature be reassured:
No specimen was directly nailed!

- A touch of duchess, a hint of couture. But definitely not stuffy!
- Yes, of course, we have that in store!
This tree asked me for a cheeky, slightly frivolous outfit.
to better attract bees and have beautiful fruit.
A corseted panel of ribbons and a frilly jabot
We hope it works out for him!

"Landscapes of the Marsh"
Graduation project
Grand-Hazé Marsh, BRIOUZE (61)
It's a whole world on earth
with its light, enveloping and mysterious
Its stillness, its imperceptible lapping,
and its rising vapors in the cool shade of the shores
Where the rushes stand proudly in long, dark green stems
where the grasses move silently like the winds
Metamorphoses of Impatient Lines
ready to run, to spread, to finally meet there
A landscape to be viewed on tiptoe
with its settled inhabitants, its passing travelers,
where a caterpillar sometimes comes to graze
